Welcome to W.A.A.M.'s Web Page

This web page is dedicated to the hobby of Remote Controlled flying. Our goal is to promote, encourage, and enjoy all types of model airplane activity with an emphasis on R/C flying. The club was founded in 1976 and is a charter member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) and the International Miniature Aircraft Association (IMAA).

The WAAM members derive much relaxation and satisfaction through model airplane building and flying. It molds personalities, teaches discipline and patience, stimulates knowledge and organizational skills, and creates the desire to achieve worthwhile goals. Our organization also enjoys teaching these attributes to young people. It is a very worthwhile alternative to drugs and alcohol, and there is a tremendous difference in the end result! WAAM is proud to have many youth among the membership.

The WAAM organization is composed of people with varying backgrounds, including: pilots, salesman, engineers, doctors, plant workers, teachers, technicians, retirees, and students, of all ages and backgrounds. The comradery and wealth of knowledge within our membership is second to none.

We invite you to come out to the PARA facility for a visit and talk with any of the members, and to attend one of our monthly club meetings.
